Monday July 3 2017 London - The Wetteraus arrive
I woke up around 5:30 this morning and while Jeri slept in I went down to the Starbucks. It is literally right underneath us. John & Reid Wetterau are coming in this morning. Their flight arrives around 7:30 so we figure they will be here around 9:30.
Jeri texted Reid after they got in and we decided to walk to Paddington Station to meet them. They had taken the Heathrow Connect instead of the tube. As we were walking into the exit of the station, they were walking out. Perfect timing!
Once John and Reid got showered and refreshed we caught the Hop On Hop Off Bus. That's a good way to see the city, and also relax and have your body adjust to the time change. We got off on Fleet Street where we decided to get lunch at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese. That is the oldest pub in London. Quite a unique place.
After lunch we walked around St James Park, and over to Buckingham Palace. You know, all the usual touristy stuff! Next stop was the tube to go home for a few drinks, a movie and bed.
