Saturday July 15 2017 Dingle
We had a delicious breakfast at Benner's Hotel. Our rooms had a beautiful view of Dingle Bay, but when we woke up this morning, we could not see the bay at all because it was such a dreary, misty day with rain pouring down quite hard at times (just like the Pacific Northwest). So, decided to walk through town to the Dingle Distillery. All tours were sold out for the day, but it was a nice hike in the rain. Later, we just hung out in the great sitting rooms waiting for the weather to clear. Blaine and John went to the Dingle Brewing Co. and learned alot about a local hero, Tom Crean.
Around 3pm, the rain cleared a bit, so we finally decided to take our drive around the Dingle Peninsula, which is a shorter version of the Ring of Kerry. It was spectacular in spite of the weather. We discovered an amazing beach, where some very hearty Irish souls were frolicking in the VERY cold water.
