Friday July 14 2017 Dingle
Carmen at the Doolin Sunset B&B prepared us a wonderful breakfast before we headed off to Dingle. It's about a 3.5 hour drive. We stopped in Tralee to stretch and walk around a bit. The drive up the hill on the one-lane "edge of the world" winding road was quite scary, but we made it thanks to Blaine's Magic Hat! Dingle Town is a fun, lively seaside village nestled in the beautiful green hills. Our room wasn't ready at Benners Hotel when we arrived, so we walked around town, enjoying the wonderful ice cream at Murphy's. Later that night we had dinner and listened to music in the Dingle Pub. It was another beautiful day in Ireland, and a disaster was averted when our sharp waitress at the Dingle Pub came to John's rescue with an eyeglass screwdriver when his glasses broke!
