September 13 2016 Windsor Palace and V&A Museum
We took a few different trains to get to Windsor Palace. Again, spectacular!! We got to see the Changing of the Guard! Sadly, the Queen was not here the day we were :--( After a wonderful tour of the palace and grounds, we had lunch at the King & Castle, just across the road from the palace. I took a picture from my seat in the pub, where I can see one of the towers of Windsor Palace. Blaine had Chicken Tikka Masala, and I had vegetarian lasagna. Delicious food in London! We met a nice couple from Los Angeles (John & Josie) at Windsor Palace. John took our photo by the palace garden. We ran into them at the train station and rode the train back with them. They were an interesting couple--both in the film industry. We parted ways at Paddington Station. We took another tube and finally got a brief look at the Victoria & Albert Museum. This was the hottest September day in 50 years in London, so it felt like a really long day. We stopped at the Hoop & Toy in South Kensington to cool down before getting back on the train home.
