October 11-12,2022 - Bernkastle-Kues
We were finally able to get away to Bernkastle for a couple of days. We took a train to Wittlich, and then bus 301 from Wittlich to Bernkastle. Blaine booked the Marchenhotel, which is a nice little hotel not far from the Markt. We got there around 1:00 and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready for check-in. After we dropped our bags in the room, we headed down to Jeri’s favorite restaurant on the water, only to find it closed. We ended up at Restaurant Brasserie, which is right across the street and has a nice view of the water as well. After lunch we booked a one-hour river cruise on the MoselPrinzessin. We couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day!
After the river cruise we stopped for a couple of glasses of wine at Bruckenkeller in Kues. What a great little wine bar.
