Friday July 7 2017 London

After our regular, delicious morning stop for coffee and goodies at Costa, we headed to Kensington Palace.  In addition to being the home to Queen Victoria in the early 1800's, Princess Diana also spent 15 years at Kensington Palace. July 1 would have been her 56th birthday, so many tributes adorned the entrance gate.  This palace is full of history, and we all enjoyed the Princess Di Fashion Story, which included many of the dresses she wore during public appearances.  It is quite apparent that she is still one of Britain's most-loved royals.

After lunch at another London pub, we then headed to the British Museum.  It was extremely crowded, hot, and busy (July in London), but we were able to see many interesting exhibits.  Then we stopped at Russell Square Park for a cold refreshment and relaxing people watching.  It was a very nice day, which got even better when The Women beat The Men (again!!) at Spades.
