Wednesday July 12 2017 Dublin
We had breakfast at the Esquires Coffee Shop around the corner from our hotel. Then the couples split up for different sightseeing tours. The Canfields went to the Dublin office of Squarespace (Elyse's employer in Portland). We were given a wonderful tour by Alan O'Brien who was extremely gracious and friendly. The Wetteraus hoofed it around central Dublin to get the lay of the land and witness a drug deal, among other interesting sites in Dublin.
John and Blaine then did a tour of the Guiness Storehouse. Reid and Jeri used the opportunity to take all of our dirty clothes to a local laundry. We actually thought we would be doing the laundry ourselves, but couldn't find a place like that in Dublin. So, we just dropped our dirty clothes off and came back a few hours later to pick them up. We all enjoyed the relaxing time while our clothes were being cleaned and dried. When the guys got back, we walked around more of our central Dublin neighborhood. We stopped for a dinner at Madigans Pub. We then walked and walked around until we found the beautiful Bank Bar on College Green. We enjoyed a few drinks while listening to a very talented piano player and playing a great musical trivia game.
