September 15 2016 Bath--pronounced "Bauth"
We left the Kensington flat and took the Tube to Paddington station, where we are going to connect to the Great Rail Service to Bath. We found our hotel, the Saco, on St. James Parade, but the room was not ready yet. So we got acquainted with the town and toured the Roman Baths--another amazing experience!! We had dinner at Tagine Zhor, the only Moroccan restaurant in Bath. Then we did the Bizarre Bath Comedy Walk, which begins at 8pm each night. We got up early Friday and saw much more of this beautiful city. Bath is full of high-end shopping and beautiful people. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The architecture, street performers and overall beauty, makes it much more worthwhile to me :--). We only spent one night in Bath, but glad that we spent more than a 1-day tour. We had lunch at the pub closest to our Saco hotel: The Lion and Lamb. Again, delicious food! I had a yummy cauliflower, broccoli, leek & cheese open pie (meaning no top crust). Blaine had fish & chips again. We then got on a train to North Hampton to do the genealogy.
