Once again, we got a late start in the morning. Notice the pattern? No sense in rushing, right? We’re on vacation!! Today we decided to visit the Historium. Before heading over to the Historium, Blaine wanted a sit down breakfast. He ordered a Belgian waffle with bananas, strawberries and melted chocolate. After breakfast as we were walking down the street we passed a fabulous shop making the most delicious meringue deserts. OMG, we had to buy a couple!
In the Historium Story you are taken on a time trip to medieval Bruges. You are swept up in a wonderful love story while walking through 7 historical themed rooms – magnificent medieval backdrops, with film, music and special effects. Using the audio guide you will hear everything about the Golden Age of Bruges and imagine yourself back in the time of Jan van Eyck. Jan van Eyck was the most prominent painter of his time.
Walking around again we came across a candy shop where they were making the hard candy. Fun to watch.
